UPDATE – Online Authorization Approval dates

Step-by-step instructions have been posted:

  • on the HPSJ provider website (www.hpsj.com/providers/)
  • within the Provider Portal

As with any upgrade, we continue to work on identified system issues. HPSJ appreciates the excellent feedback we have received from providers and practitioners now that the enhanced system is live.

Problem –
Previously, in the authorization summary appearing inside the provider portal, the end date of the authorization was not visible.

Solution –

  1. The approval period is now located in the authorization summary on the right hand
    side, under the “Auth Date.”
  2. You will see “Admission/Service Date” – this is the start of the authorization.
  3. Underneath that is the “Expiration Date” of the auth.
  4. If you do not see a date range this means the status is currently in process/cancelled/denied/deferred.
    You can verify this by checking the “Status” found on the left side of the authorization
    summary under “Auth Class.”

Again, step-by-step instructions have been posted on the HPSJ provider website (hpsj.com/providers/) and within the Provider Portal. We will update these instructions as often as needed.
