Subject: Upcoming Payment Fulfillment Transition
Business: Medi-Cal Managed Care/Medicare Dual Special Needs Program (D-SNP)

Health Plan will be transitioning its payment fulfillment services to Optum Financial (Optum). This is anticipated to occur in Q4 of this calendar year, 2026.

As part of this transition, Optum will begin contacting providers to complete their enrollment for the new payment platform. Enrollment to this platform will provide access to a secure provider payment portal where providers can:

  • View and download Remittance Advices (RAs)
  • Manage payment preferences
  • Access payment history and payment status information
  • Update banking and payment-related information, as applicable
  • Utilize additional payment management tools available through the portal

What Providers Can Expect
Prior to the implementation, Optum will contact providers directly with enrollment instructions and information regarding available payment options. We encourage providers to complete the enrollment process promptly to ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted access to payment information.

Providers Currently Enrolled in Electronic Payments
Providers currently enrolled in electronic payments with Health Plan will be asked to complete a release form authorizing Health Plan to share existing banking information with Optum. Providing this authorization will help facilitate a seamless transition and minimize the risk of payment interruptions.

Additional information regarding the release form process will be communicated directly to affected providers.

Providers Interested in Electronic Payments
Providers who are not currently enrolled in electronic payments and would like to establish electronic payment services prior to the transition may contact Provider Services for enrollment assistance.

Important Information
Communications from Optum regarding enrollment and access to the payment portal are legitimate. Health Plan has partnered with Optum to deliver these communications directly to you on our behalf as part of the payment fulfillment implementation. Additional details, including implementation timelines and enrollment instructions, will be shared as they become available.
