For 2023, Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ) will continue paying a supplemental payment for the first 45 days of admission.
Starting July 5, 2023, to receive this supplemental payment, facilities must submit Revenue Code 0420 and HCPCS G0128, along with the applicable units, for reimbursement. It is important to note that this payment will be in addition to the standard payment for the covered services provided during the patient’s stay.
Facilities may begin submitting the revenue code and HCPCS code combination immediately, ahead of the implementation date.
We encourage all eligible providers to submit claims for this payment in a timely manner. We also ask that providers ensure that their billing systems are updated to reflect these changes so that claims are processed efficiently and accurately.
