The following information serves as an official 45-business day notice regarding updates to the Provider Manual.
Please note an important change: On January 1, 2024, the San Joaquin Health Commission (the Commission) will expand its service area to include Alpine and El Dorado counties. The Commission will do business as “Mountain Valley Health Plan” in these counties. The Commission will still do business as “Health Plan of San Joaquin” in San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties.
Health Plan of San Joaquin/Mountain Valley Health Plan (“Health Plan”) has updated the Provider Manual to reflect the current standards and guidelines in accordance with the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC), California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements. These updates will be effective January 30, 2024.
The Provider Manual is an informative and useful guide for Health Plan providers/practitioners. The Provider Manual can be accessed through our internet portal Doctor’s Referral Express (DRE) or Health Plan website www.hpsj-mvhp.org.
