In accordance with California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Health Plan’s network providers and their staff are required to complete mandatory trainings annually. The trainings ensure our network providers are meeting the unique and diverse needs of all members and comply with state and federal regulations.
Health Plan’s mandatory trainings below must be completed by June 30, 2026 and attestations of completion are required.
- Cultural Competency Training and Sensitivity Training
- Anti-Fraud, Waste and Abuse Training
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) Training
- *Early Periodic Screening and Diagnostic Treatments (EPSDT)- Medi-Cal for Kids & Teens Training
- Emergency Preparedness Training
- Excellent Health Outcomes for All (EHOA) Training
- **Model of Care (MOC) Training
*Please note, EPSDT Training is required every two years. Therefore, if you have completed EPSDT Training between 1/1/2025 to current, you do not need to complete the training in Calendar Year 2026.
**MOC Training is required for all in-network and out-of-network providers who provide healthcare services to Dual (Medicare-Medi-Cal) Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) members or administer D-SNP healthcare benefits.

If you have completed these trainings with another health plan, you must attest to completing the training through another source and provide proof of training. Proof can be a certificate of completion, training program outline, or web link to the training.
