HPSJ customer service director joins board of YMCA San Joaquin County
(French Camp, CA) – Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ) has announced that customer service director Mike McCarns has joined the board of directors for YMCA San Joaquin County.
“I am a strong believer in maintaining a balanced work/life equation,” said McCarns, a father of four who had been looking for a good match with a local nonprofit board so that he could continue what he’s always done: Finding ways to support community causes that are central to his life and that of his family and community.
McCarns says the causes he cares about and actively supports range from children and animal welfare, to economic empowerment and health.
“With 20 years of healthcare-related call center and customer service experience, Mike was delighted to be invited to join the board of YMCA San Joaquin County, founded in 1855,” said HPSJ vice president for External Affairs David Hurst. “Mike’s passion for both customer service and not-for-profit volunteering intersects with the Y’s ongoing commitment to serving youth throughout our diverse communities,” added Hurst.
