(French Camp, CA) – Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ) invited Community Partners to join them on Friday, May 8, 2015, to support the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women lunch, along with hundreds of other Stanislaus and San Joaquin women at the Doubletree Hotel in Modesto.

Go Red for Women supports the American Heart Association mission to spread the message that heart disease is the #1 killer of women. It empowers women to become armed with the know-how to fight back. One of the chief take-aways was that all women should “know their numbers,” including: blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels, and height, weight and waist numbers. To learn more, women are encouraged to talk with their doctor, and to go to the AHA web site, www.goredforwomen.org/live-healthy/heart-score.

Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ), a not-for-profit health plan, has been serving members and the community since 1996. Located in the heart of the Central Valley, HPSJ is the leading Medi-Cal Managed Care provider in San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties. HPSJ offers a broad network of providers and works closely with physicians to develop programs and services to ensure quality health care for 300,000 members. With a staff of close to 300 employees, HPSJ strives to improve healthcare delivery for underserved families and individuals.
