(French Camp, CA) – Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ) has announced that Andrea Brown, has joined HPSJ as Vice President for Provider Networks. Health Plan of San Joaquin has a strong provider network including over 1,100. To support each of these as they partner with HPSJ in providing access to quality health care to HPSJ members, Andrea Brown now leads the HPSJ Provider Network Team. She is a healthcare leader with broad experience in all aspects of managed care contracting, network development, and health plan operations, in addition to having leadership and management experience with physician groups and in integrated closed model delivery systems.
“Andrea has extensive experiences with provider contracting, provider network development, and provider relations with many California and out-of-state health plans,” said HPSJ CEO Amy Shin.
“A bonus,” Shin added, “is Andrea’s familiarity with our service area and with HPSJ where she has done some excellent consultant work with us. For example, she is the one who developed HPSJ’s current provider manual and the new provider boiler plate contracts that are now being rolled out.”
Health Plan of San Joaquin, a not-for-profit, public health plan, has been serving members and the community since 1996. Located in the heart of California’s multicultural Central Valley, HPSJ is the leading Medi-Cal managed care provider in San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties.
