El Dorado Coalition for Overdose Prevention and Education (ED COPE) is hosting a free virtual webinar titled, “People First: Reducing Stigma through Perspective Taking,” as a part of their 2025 bi-monthly Community Awareness Stigma Education (CASE) series.

Description

Join ED COPE virtually for a brief and practical session exploring perspective-taking as an anti-bias intervention for reducing stigma towards people who use drugs.

Guest speakers David Jay and Kari Herbert (Marshall Medical Center) will highlight the complexities of an individual’s receiver journey to promote empathy through better understanding of the risk factors for developing substance use disorder and the barrier to treatment.
