California Children’s Services

A statewide program that arranges, directs, and pays for medical care, equipment, and rehabilitation for children with serious medical conditions.

Children with Medi-Cal coverage, including those enrolled in Medi-Cal Managed Care, and who have California Children’s Services eligible medical conditions are eligible for CCS services. CCS will authorize services related to the qualifying CCS medical condition. Health Plan of San Joaquin will provide your child’s primary care, well child check-ups, and other treatment not covered by the CCS program. Only certain conditions are eligible for CCS. In general, CCS covers medical conditions that are physically disabling or require medical, surgical or rehabilitative services.

There are many eligible medical conditions. The following list provides some examples of CCS eligible conditions:

  • Cancers, Tumors
