When someone in El Dorado County needs addiction treatment, help is now just a call or text away.
CA Bridge Connect, a CA Bridge program funded by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), launched on April 14, 2026 in El Dorado County, bringing a new, compassionate pathway to same‑day, low‑barrier medication for addiction treatment (MAT) and support.
About CA Bridge Connect
CA Bridge Connect is California’s statewide hotline designed to connect people directly to same‑day MAT, overdose prevention, and peer support. Trained Behavioral Health Navigators meet individuals where they are – no judgment, no waitlists.
Hotline Availability (El Dorado County Launch Phase)
- Open Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm PST
- Additional counties will be added soon
- CALL: 1‑800‑944‑1807 or TEXT: 1‑833‑308‑0461
How It Works
- A person calls or texts the hotline.
- A CA Bridge-trained Navigator assesses their needs, location, and preferences.
- The Navigator connects them to a local provider in the CA Bridge network, which includes clinics, emergency departments, hospitals, telemedicine providers, and street medicine teams, for same‑day MAT and support.
- Ongoing support is provided to help maintain connection to care.
Why This Matters
- Overdose is the leading cause of death for Californians ages 15–44.
- Nearly 90% of people with opioid use disorder (OUD) lack access to evidence‑based medications that reduce overdose risk.
- Fragmented systems, stigma, and long wait times often delay care.
- That’s why every call and text is answered by a real person – trained Navigators who know the local treatment landscape and help ensure systemic barriers never prevent someone from starting care in their moment of need.
