The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) conducts an annual Timely Access Study to monitor member timely access to care. DHCS will start the annual Timely Access Survey on January 1, 2022.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Your office may receive a call from a DHCS auditor from January 10, 2022 through March 31, 2022. DHCS will ask questions around the Timely Access Standards to your office staff who answers the phone.

CALLS TO PROVIDERS:
All Network Providers- Phone calls will be made during standard operating hours (e.g., 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. PST) and a maximum of three call attempts to reach a provider will
be made to complete the survey.
