New Chair for HPSJ Governing Board Greg Diederich (French Camp, CA) – Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ) today announced that the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors, during its January 13, 2015 session, formally appointed Greg A. Diederich to be chair of the 11-member San Joaquin Health Commission, HPSJ’s governing board, effective January 14, 2015.

“Many of our HPSJ staff had the pleasure of working with Greg Diederich, during his seven years at Stanislaus County Health Services Agency where he served as associate director of clinical services,” said HPSJ chief executive officer Amy Y. Shin. “In addition to being well-informed about that region of the HPSJ geographic service area, he has a deep understanding of the current healthcare landscape. We look forward to his Health Commission leadership as we continue working together with communities and agencies to deliver the promise of health care reform for San Joaquin and Stanislaus County families and others eligible for expanded coverage options.”

The San Joaquin Health Commission is appointed by the San Joaquin County (SJC) Board of Supervisors. Health Commission membership is comprised of: two SJC Supervisors, a county administration officer, a Hospital Council representative, community physicians and local representatives, as well as the SJC Director of Health Care Services. Mr. Diederich, became San Joaquin County Director of Health Care Services on January 5, 2015. As part of his duties he serves as an ex officio member of the San Joaquin Health Commission.
