We are sending this alert because of a recall on one lot of Basic Drugs Brand of Senna Laxative tablets, 8.6mg.

This recall is due to a customer finding out that their bottle labeled as Senna Laxative actually contained Basic Drugs Brand of Naproxen Sodium 220mg. Naproxen Sodium 220mg tablet is used as a pain reliever and is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).

As you are aware, unintentional consumption of Naproxen Sodium potentially could result in fatal adverse events in patients with underlying illnesses, including known allergy to the hidden ingredients.

HPSJ is now contacting any HPSJ members who have filled a prescription for Senna Laxative tablets, 8.6mg within the last 180 days. We are recommending they contact their pharmacy to check if their medication is part of the recall.
