This is an update to the Provider Alert issued on February 18, 2026.

Effective January 1, 2026, the Cultural Competency and Sensitivity Training is included in the Excellent Health Outcomes for All (EHOA) Training. To avoid duplication, Health Plan is removing the Cultural Competency and Sensitivity Training module from its website and instead requires completion of the EHOA Training. The EHOA Training includes content on cultural competency and humility, sensitivity, diversity, and health equity.

As a reminder, please complete the required trainings below, as applicable, and submit attestations by June 30, 2026.

  1. Anti-Fraud, Waste and Abuse Training
  2. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) Training
  3. *Early Periodic Screening and Diagnostic Treatments (EPSDT)- Medi-Cal for Kids & Teens Training
  4. Emergency Preparedness Training
  5. Excellent Health Outcomes for All (EHOA) Training
  6. **Model of Care (MOC) Training

*Please note, EPSDT Training is required every two years. Therefore, if you have completed EPSDT Training between 1/1/2025 to current, you do not need to complete the training in Calendar Year 2026.

**MOC Training is required for all in-network and out-of-network providers who provide healthcare services to Dual (Medicare-Medi-Cal) Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) members or administer D-SNP healthcare benefits.

Trainings are available on Health Plan’s website at: https://www.hpsj.com/provider-trainings/

If you have completed these trainings with another health plan, you must attest to completing the training through another source and provide proof of training. Proof can be a certificate of completion, training program outline, or web link to the training.
