The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) Managed Care Accountability Set (MCAS) measures access to care, preventive services, chronic condition management, and behavioral health outcomes for Medi-Cal members. Complete and accurate documentation, coding, and timely submission of encounter and supplemental data are essential for compliant reporting.
The DHCS selects specific measures and requires plans and contracted providers to meet the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) National 50th Percentile or Minimum Performance Level (MPL). Measures held to MPL by the DHCS for Measurement Year 2026 are identified in the link below.

Reminders- Providers are responsible for ensuring:
- Services are fully documented in the medical record
- Encounters and applicable supplemental data are submitted timely and accurately
- Current, valid codes aligned with DHCS and NCQA technical specifications are used
- Member identifiers, provider information, and dates of service are complete and accurate
