Beginning July 1, 2022, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) will be implementing the use of new Facility Site Review (FSR) and Medical Record Review (MRR) tools and standards. The tools reflect current guidelines of professional organizations by expanding certain criteria, re-organizing the criteria groups to help better identify deficiencies, and adjusting the scoring methods to better generalize the scores. These tools can be accessed on our website at www.hpsj.com/facility-site-reviews.
How will it affect you?
- Primary Care Providers (PCP) sites will be audited utilizing the new DHCS FSR/MRR tools and guidelines.
- Providers and staff should review, train, and apply these updates to their office policies, workflow, and documentation.
- Corrective Action Plan will be placed based on deficiencies identified from the new tool requirements.
