Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ)/Mountain Valley Health Plan (MVHP) encourages providers to participate in monthly webinars hosted by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Immunization Branch.

Prenatal immunizations are a simple yet powerful way to safeguard the health of both parent and baby.

Why It Matters:

Leading health organizations — American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine — strongly recommend pregnant people receive COVID-19, flu, RSV, and Tdap (pertussis) vaccines. These vaccines:

  • Help prevent serious pregnancy complications like premature birth, low birth weight, and stillbirth.
  • Provide vital antibodies to the baby during pregnancy and through breastfeeding.
  • Can be safely administered together during a single prenatal visit, increasing convenience and uptake.

Your voice as a trusted provider can make all the difference. Register for these webinars and stay up to date on:

  • COVID-19
  • RSV
  • Flu
  • Other current and relevant vaccine updates

Includes a live Q&A session with CDPH panelists and immunization experts!

Upcoming Sessions (Pacific Time):

  • August 22, 2025, 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM
  • September 19, 2025, 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM
