Me + My Baby

Breastfeeding is your baby’s

first defense against illness

Breastfeeding your baby

Breastfeeding is your baby’s first guard against sickness. It has nutrients and antibodies that:

  1. Protect babies from infections
  2. Helps with body and brain growth
  3. Improve the infant’s digestive system

Why is nursing so good for moms?

  1. Womb Health – It causes normal cramps that help the mother’s womb return to its pre-pregnancy state.
  2. Lowers risk of disease – mom is less likely to get heart disease, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and diabetes.
  3. Helps with recovery – the nursing woman uses a lot of their energy to make breastmilk.
  4. More sleep– Nighttime feedings do not need set-up or warming of bottles.
