Interpreters who speak your language
Never miss a visit because you do not have someone who can help you talk to your doctor. We are here to help you. We can provide you with an interpreter (Language Assistance) that can speak your language.

in•ter•pret•er/ A person who tells you what is being said by your doctor, but in your language. This person then tells the doctor what you said in their language.

Did you know?

  • HPSJ members can ask for an interpreter to help at doctor visits.
  • HPSJ members can ask for someone who can help with sign language.
  • If you are deaf or hard of hearing you can call (TTY/TDD) 209.942.6306.
  • Interpreters who speak your language or know sign language is free for you, 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

No cost for translation services for members
Did you know that Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ) can provide written materials for members in languages other than English? We can provide materials for the visually impaired. For more about translation, call Customer Service.

HPSJ will provide appropriate auxiliary aids and services to members with disabilities, including alternative formats request for braille, audio format, large print, and accessible electronic format such as data CD.
