Health Plan of San Joaquin Announces an                                   additional local investment of $12.5                                            Million to Address Homelessness

(French Camp, CA)- Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ), a local health plan that serves more than 450,000 Medi-Cal beneficiaries in San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties, announces an additional $12.5 million investment to continue work started September 2022 to reduce and prevent homelessness across the community.  HPSJ will partner to help fund transitional, permanent, and supportive housing as well as bringing community-based health care management and social service providers to local community centers and housing authorities. These services will address health, social and housing needs for those affected by homelessness in Lodi, with additional partners in Stockton, and with Stanislaus Housing Authority.  This second round of investments follows the initial $13.1 million in investments made in Tracy, Stockton, and Modesto.

“Investments like these, approved by our governing Commission, continue to demonstrate the power of partnership to address the needs in the communities we are committed to serving.” says HPSJ’s Interim Chief Executive Officer, Evert Hendrix. “HPSJ is committed to working and standing with community agencies, providers, and thought leaders to address the needs of our homeless community in creative and innovative ways.”
