In our effort to process and pay claims more quickly and to reduce the turnaround time for paper billings, Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ) has a new claims mailing address for initial billings, which will now go directly to our scanning vendor. Effective immediately, for paper billings being submitted for the first time, mail them directly to the following P.O. Box: Health Plan of San Joaquin P.O. Box 839 El Cerrito, CA 94530
Please continue to use the existing P.O. Boxes when submitting appeals, PM 160 (CHDP) forms, provider dispute resolution (PDR), refund checks, corrected billings or any other correspondence. NOTE: If you are an EDI submitter, continue to do so. No interruption to that existing process. If you are submitting HCFA paper billings and are interested in submitting EDI, please contact our Provider Services Department.
